Insomnia is the inability to sleep, or sleeping less than four hours per day although not by choice! there are three categories of Insomnia.

  • Severe Insomnia characterised as sudden onset yet short-lasting
  • Chronic Insomnia Is the more common form and may last several weeks
  • Anxiety Insomnia  This may be intermittent lasting three weeks to six months.

Some Physical causes of Insomnia include thyroid issues, and side effects of medication so do check that there is no physical reason for your insomnia with your doctor.
Psychological causes for insomnia include depression pessimism, stress, anxiety, and obsessive compulsiveness.
