About Anxiety Habit Change

Many try to escape from anxiety into a drug of choice from alcohol to food, gaming to smoking or vaping, the list of options is vast. Sadly, for many, the escape route is littered with pain and suffering and yet by taking action and learning to switch off anxiety, your choices can become more informed and easier to make. For this reason, I now always begin facilitating habit change by topping up your skill set in anxiety management and self-worth.

Worry is a fear-based activity and making choices from a place of fear is a reactive response to life.  Worry can be useful when it is used as fuel for action, but when it becomes circular and overwhelming it can limit your ability to live fully and happily in your world. Often it is only when you realize that there is something you want more than the safety zone that your anxiety keeps you in that you start to look for a resolution.

Luckily, there are a number of techniques that you can use to switch off your anxiety-based response as soon as you become aware of it. The persistent use of such techniques can create a new pattern of responses that work much better for you. The sense of control that you can develop over your emotional responses can be very satisfying, self-empowering even. I like to help people like you,  easily switch off anxiety as your default response, to enjoy sleeping well, to feel calmer and more self-confident and be better able to cope with your current and wider life experience. I like to help people step out of their fear and thrive, are you ready?

You can choose a number of ways to enjoy the benefits of the SOFA Process; in person or using telehealth appointments from your home, attending a workshop or a self-paced online course. You can feel better than you currently do, happier even, sooner and more easily than you might think. I hope to meet you soon at your Switch Off Anxiety (SOFA) and Thrive Experience soon.

Anchor IMPORTANT PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE IN CRISIS OR HAVE A MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS OF ANXIETY

If you have a medical diagnosis of anxiety please check with your Doctor before participating in my “SOFA” Process to Switch off Your Anxiety and Thrive.  SOFA is NOT a medical intervention, it uses a blend of personal development information, exercises and techniques including but not limited to creative visualization techniques, relaxation techniques, and stress relief techniques. If you take medication for anxiety please continue to take your medication as prescribed by your medical caregivers, it can be dangerous to stop taking some medication suddenly so only make necessary changes as you go forward,  in consultation with your Doctor. Your results are not guaranteed but the process is offered in good faith of its efficacy.
If you are in CRISIS then SOFA is not right for you at this time. Please seek out real time help  from your doctors, support network or THE SAMARITANS ( link to website ) Tel: 116 123  ( U.K.)  or other CRISIS support Service in your vicinity.

AnchorIs Your Anxiety A Symptom Of Another Diagnosis?

There are many conditions in which anxiety may show as a symptom when a diagnosis is being made. Learning to switch off or manage your anxiety using the sofa process would be great and may in some situations be possible but it is not a guaranteed outcome. Being more competent at managing your anxiety will not stop sensory processing difficulties from happening  for example. When anxiety lives with depression both conditions need to be addressed. In my experience, managing anxiety also means learning to manage your stress effectively and your past. If stress and anxiety contribute to your diagnosis that is where the impact of any change will be felt rather than in expecting a change in the underlying condition.  So, someone who is overweight with thyroid or hormonal issues and also eats when they feel anxious may find themselves more able to control their anxiety-driven food intake and even lose some weight but their thyroid or hormonal issues remain, along with that part of their weight attributed to that condition.  Where high-stress levels or anxiety are a causative factor of the wider condition, the impact of stress and anxiety reduction may be more obvious but is not guaranteed.
