Food and Body Disorders

Equality Of Food and Body Disorders

Not all food and body disorders are created equal nor is a single disorder experienced equally. The extent and impact of a condition on you will be dependent both on your life experience to date, your support network or degree of isolation, the relationship you have with yourself and others, your intentions, your co morbid conditions and your expectations of what is possible  and more variables  may present.

I will guide you through a framework that allows you to evolve, blending talking therapies, positive interventions and hypnosis  so that you can thrive and discard beliefs and behaviours that have been keeping you stuck.
Bulimia

Developing a trusting relationship between you and I  allows  us to explore the precise motivations behind the behaviours that comprise your experience of  Bulimia.  Avoidance of pain or gaining satisfaction at some level are the principal drivers of behaviour  and finding alternate ways that work for you to both avoid pain and increase satisfaction can help to  kick start  the process of  your evolution and recovery. Whilst Bulimia is not classed as a habit but often as a disorder, habits of thought, feeling and behaviour reside within it and those are addressed using the my framework approach focussing on  Honesty, Action and Accountability, Beliefs/behavior, Identity and Time.

Annorexia

The pleasure experienced by directing supreme levels of control over ones body and mind is a major driver of the behaviour of one diagnosed with annorexia and the use of self hypnosis combined with habit change of thought, feeling and behaviour can mitigate the symptoms of annorexia and even shunt the condition into ones past. Annorexia is often thought of as a ‘Condition’; a prescribed set of responses and actions to stimuli. As responses and actions to stimuli are unconditioned and flexibility of both are introduced, a condition may be reconditioned into something fresh and more useful to the individual. It is often said that flexibilty is key to success and that is addressed using my framework approach focussing on  Honesty, Action, Beliefs/behavior, Identity and Time.

Body Dysmorphic Disorder BDD

This sometimes disabling preoccupation with perceived defects can be time consumig, lead to unnessary cosmetic treatments or camouflage and interfere with a persons ability to function socially. MDD or muscle dysmorpic disorder is a type of BDD sometimes known as Bigorexia in the media and there are many variations of BDD in men and women alike. BDD and its variations are classed as disorders not habit and yet habits of thought, feeling and behaviour reside within it and those are addressed using the my framework approach focussing on  Honesty, Action, Beliefs/behavior, Identity and Time to move on from BDD towards a more confident and balanced approach to self image.
